VRRRH SSCH SSCH
(solid smoke and ready-made sounds)

Atelier Hotel Pro Forma presents
vrrrh ssch ssch (solid smoke and ready-made sounds)
– An up in smoke performance installation serviced by Kirsten Dehlholm, Jon R. Skulberg and Kristian Hverring.
vrrrh ssch ssch (solid smoke and ready-made sounds) – an investigation of the physicality of smoke and daylight and the narrative associations of sound. A magic space occurs between the visible and the invisible. Space and human beings slowly appear as you move around. Sound and song set the tone in the smoke.
Hotel Pro Forma mixes smoke with natural sunlight and low-tech sound design at their top-floor space in Amager, Copenhagen.
Heavy smoke. The sound of boiling water. Birds scream. Draft. If the Sun comes out, it’s going to be a romantic room, he says. Can you buy live butterflies anywhere? She asks. Yellow fever. Tempting India Songs. An ice cube machine sighs. She promises him and that is all.
Performed by Kirsten Dehlholm, Jon R Skulberg (artist-in-residence), sound designer Kristian Hverring and singer Lore Lixenberg.
The performance is a part of the CPH-stage programme 2013.
