FLAMMENWERFER is Hotel Pro Forma’s new musical-dramatical performance on the famous Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Hill (1849-1911), his life and art. Hill lived with the diagnosis schizophrenic paranoia isolated from the rest of the world in the last years of his life.
FLAMMENWERFER is based on Hills beautiful, poignant, and strong artworks from this period of illness, where dissolution of reality, nature, paranoia, megalomania, and longing for something else characterize his life.
On stage: Blixa Bargeld and vocal ensemble IKI
IKI: Johanna Sulkunen, Guro Tveitnes, Kamilla Kovacs, Randi Pontoppidan and Jullie Hjetland
FLAMMENWERFER premiers at Malmö Live Concert Hall on March 8, 2024, followed by performances at The Concert Hall of Aarhus during Aarhus Festival on August 30 and 31 and at the Royal Danish Theatre on September 26, 27 and 28, 2024.
FLAMMENWERFER is created in co-production with Malmö Live Konserthus in collaboration with Malmö Konstmuseum.
