Join us for the first Lounge of the year on Friday March 4th, when we proudly present the work of Atelier Hotel Pro Forma’s current artist-in-residence, Norwegian based Jan Moszumanski (PL).
During the last six weeks, Jan Moszumanski has developed the project Talking Calms Me Down, which focuses on the social distance and the lack of communication between “them and us”, between the socially capable and the socially inept – the geek. The project is created in collaboration with Atelier Hotel Pro Forma’s team of artistic interns.
Talking Calms Me Down consists of a short film and an installation that explore the not-so-popular, not-easily-accessible world of geeks. It is a disconcerting journey into the imaginative universe of those mumbling, socially awkward people, who prefer hiding in “safe spaces”, such as YouTube, where they often engage in potentially embarrassing activities.
