The First of the Greatest
Atelier Hotel Pro Forma x Concerto Copenhagen
Atelier Hotel Pro Forma has developed an innovative visual universe, staging Concerto Copenhagen’s concerts of Claudio Monteverdi’s opera and chamber music. The concerts, called The first of the greatest, feature excerpts from the famous operas “Orfeo” and “Arianna” alongside the masterwork “Duel between Tancredi and Clorinda”.
The concert staging is the first outcome of a new collaboration between Hotel Pro Forma and Concerto Copenhagen (known by friends as CoCo) which aims to develop the classical concert form with visual means of expression. This is creating an entirely new integrated artistic form of sound and visuals, which at once maintains and expands the musical expression, while opening to new experiences. Atelier Hotel Pro Forma’s staging will feature the concerts in Nørrebro (Copenhagen N) and Næstved.
The experience of this first alchemical combination of music and visuals will hopefully lay the foundation for more future concert stagings.
