Open Call for Artists
Atelier Hotel Pro Forma is looking for international artists for 4 available residencies in Fall 2016 and Spring 2017
Atelier Hotel Pro Forma is a platform and physical space for new and upcoming artists and art students to create exhibitions, installations, performances and concepts for future projects.
Artists who wish to apply for the residency must be professional and have documented experience in developing interdisciplinary work. Preference will be given to applications that fit into the theme of SCI+ART (art+science), as this forms the basis of the works presented at Atelier Hotel Pro Forma.
Applicants must submit a specific project proposal to develop during their residency.
Based on their projects, the chosen applicants will participate in producing work(s) for Hotel Pro Forma Lounge, our monthly exhibition at the Atelier. The works that are presented may be either completed or works-in-progress.
Atelier Hotel Pro Forma expects the artists-in-residence to be open to collaborate and share knowdledge with the artistic team of Hotel Pro Forma which also includes our team of international interns.
Who can apply:
Only Nordic and Baltic artists can apply. Danish residents may only apply if they are living in another Nordic or Baltic country.
Applicants must fill in the E-form and include a project description, expectations for the residency and their project’s relevance to Hotel Pro Forma.
Supplemental material (portfolio/CV) MUST be uploaded in the e-form as one pdf-file and be no larger than 15MB. No other file formats will be accepted.
The application deadline is 15 February 2016: at 23.59 local Danish time (GMT + 1:00).
Applications sent after deadline will not be taken into consideration.
Period of residencies:
Fall 2016: 6-8 weeks between the months of September - December
Spring 2017: 6-8 weeks between the months of March - May
Hotel Pro Forma offers:
- access to our organisation and network of artists and producers
- help with finding accommodation in Copenhagen and locating funding sources
- to apply for funding here in Denmark to cover accomodation, travel and a small bursary
- evaluation of your project on a conceptual, artistic and organisational level
- an interesting, inspiring and open environment to develop artistic work
