A programme for international artists

A programme for international artists

Through the Residency Programme international artists are given a unique opportunity to develop their work, and also to create and show their works-in-progress or completed projects at Atelier Hotel Pro Forma.

Projects are assessed for their ability to meet certain criteria, such as artistic quality and their ability to create new forms of collaboration across existing art forms.

Preference will be given to applications that fit into the theme of SCI+ART (art+science), as this forms the basis of the works presented at Atelier Hotel Pro Forma.

Applicants must submit a specific project proposal to develop during their residency. Based on their projects, the chosen applicants will participate in producing work(s) for Hotel Pro Forma Lounge, our monthly exhibition at the Atelier. The works that are presented may be either completed
or works-in-progress.

Atelier Hotel Pro Forma expects the artists-in-residence to be open to collaborate and share knowdledge with the artistic team of Hotel Pro Forma which includes our team of international interns.

Who can apply:
Only Nordic and Baltic artists can apply. Danish residents may only apply if they are living in another
Nordic or Baltic country.

Period of residencies:

The duration of the residencies is 6-8 weeks and can be applied for the periods of January - May and September – December.

Atelier Hotel Pro Forma has 4 artists-in-residence per year

Atelier Hotel Pro Forma offers:

Through our international Artists-in-Residence-programme, Atelier Hotel Pro Forma wishes to rethink and recreate our ways of working and collaborating. The ambition is to create new innovative forms of artwork that both our audiences and we find to be exceptional.

Artists-in-Residence are given a unique opportunity to develop and collaborate with Atelier Hotel Pro Forma on the creation of their own interdisciplinary work.

All Artists-in-Residence are selected by Hotel Pro Forma's artistic director Kirsten Dehlholm
